Voicespan is on the cusp of launching a Virtual PBX, which is a telephone system that resides in the nice controlled environment of a data centre. A virtual PBX is even more suited to flexible working, as the user needs to connect to a telephone system that is effectively sitting in the middle of the internet, and so has virtually unlimited bandwidth. With an office-based PBX, the business needs to factor in the extra traffic going to and from remote workers when sizing their bandwidth. It’s not a big consideration unless office bandwidth is limited.
